Over the years, I’ve come to realize that the value of having great mentors can never be over-emphasized. At challenging points in my life, my mentors empowered me to overcome and focus on the future to become a better version of myself. In fact, you may NEVER achieve your goals and dreams if you lack great mentorship. But there are things you must watch out for before you get a mentor.

Here are the 7 top signs you should watch out for:

1. Failed yet succeeded in the area you desire

Every warrior has a battle scar. Therefore seek out mentors who have been knocked down several times and sustained bruises from failure yet became successful.

Before you get a mentor, ask him or her :”what have you failed at? Can you share any of your biggest failures?

So don’t get mentored by someone who only focuses on negative outcomes. This kind of person is a dream stealer. He or she will kill your vibe, dream or goal quicker than you can ever imagine.
