The case of Kheris Rogers is a paragon of turning problems into profit. Kheris was continuously bullied at school for her dark skin complexion. She was ridiculed by other kids at school because she was the darkest of amongst them.
Everyday in grade school she faced humiliation from other kids. Kheris even recounted on her experience during a school assignment when a teacher was handing out crayons to the kids in her class to draw themselves and she was handed the black crayon while other kids were handed brown crayons.
At a point, Kheris transferred to another school to escape the bullying but to no avail – the bullying did not stop because her complexion distinguished her from the other kids at school.
The turning point in her life was when she complained to her grandmother about the issue of bullying she faced. Her grandmother advised her to flex in her complexion.
This advice from her grandmother inspired Kheris to start a clothing line with her own label “Flexin’ in My Complexion” through the help of her sister. Her brand has gone viral and is popular among many top celebrities.
She has since taken part in the Harlem Fashion Week in New York and featured by one of the greatest companies of our time -Nike.

1. Awareness
You need to recognize a problem. When you notice a re-occurring pattern in your life that does not bring you positive energy, you need to take note of it.
2. Don’t Buckle
Never accept your problem as your reality. Rather than adopting defeat or loss as a result of your problems, keep your head up. Don’t let anything derail you.
3. Approach it
Now that you have decided to keep your head up, you will need to face your problems squarely and quit shying away from it.
4. Help

5. Re-define
